Welcome to
Sundays:
Most people link into a church with a visit to a Sunday morning service, so we will tell you about ours. Our Sunday morning worship celebrations vary in format, timing, and configuration. We are presently partnering with
Both churches share a single joint worship service @ 10:30 AM on the first and fifth Sundays of the month. The Pastors of the two churches alternate teaching on those Sundays. We are excited about this unique expression of the Body of Christ in our community. On joint service Sundays we keep our children (age 4-grade5) and our teens in the service with us. The Toddler and Nursery rooms are available to parents and are often staffed on these Sundays as well.
The second, third and fourth Sundays we have two services –HCC @ 9:30AM and LFCC @ 11:30AM. See Children and Teens below…
Where we meet:

From Bel Air – Take 543 east towards I – 95. When you see the Highlands School on your left prepare to turn right onto our campus just past the brick Arrow Child and Family Ministry sign.
There are several organizations sharing the property. This can be a little confusing at first. Once on the driveway you will see signs directing you forward past the old mansion on your right towards the large building towards the rear of the property with the green awning. If you are a first time guest you will be directed by our parking attendants to special reserved parking near the front doors of our worship space. Don’t worry we won’t slap a visitors badge on you and make you stand up and introduce yourself during the service. We’ll respect your privacy and newness, but we’d like you to feel welcome and that things are easily accessed during your first experience with us. We meet in the building we call our
Make your way to the front glass doors on either side of the front of the building’s lobby under the dark green awning. You will be welcomed by greeters who will give you any handouts and note sheets for that day. You can go to the auditorium through doors on the left or right side of the lobby area. Men’s restrooms are on the left and women’s restrooms are right. Each restroom is equipped with a fold down diaper changing table.
Our Service:
Our Sunday Service is designed to help each of us engage with God, grow spiritually, and connect with our community of faith. The Sunday celebration is really like a drama of our faith in every day life. Daily we are called to worship God, pray, be in His Word, connect with other believers and minister God’s encouragement, inspiration, challenge and forgiveness to one another through testimony, communion and giving. Our prayer is that each person will know God better for having devoted the time to worship. By experiencing God's presence among us we can learn more about his heart, will, and purposes and we can connect with His plan for our lives through faith in Jesus. Through contemporary worship music and projected lyrics, prayer, weekly communion, and inspiring Bible-based messages we invite God to capture our hearts and move us to full devotion in Christ. As we leave we carry His presence into our every day lives.
We have movable seating in our rented facilities so we experiment with different formats at times on Sundays. We have done breakfasts with worship around tables, we’ve worshipped in the round with a stage at the center of the room, and we’ve faced the large cross that stands on the side over by the prayer and meditation kneelers. Sometimes you can see families or small groups gathered in a circle to share communion together in remembrance of Jesus. At times we turn our chairs and break out into groups during our morning messages for short discussion times. On other occasions we form up circles for prayer for each other, or for things going on in our community and region.
We use various creative elements like video clips, occasional dramas, interviews, and real life testimonies of our involvements with God, desiring to picture a life of faith in authentic and genuine ways. We hope to make the gospel of Jesus accessible and understandable no matter where we are on our spiritual journey.
One thing folks say after they've been with us for awhile is, "We really love it here, because from one Sunday to the next, you never know what will happen! We are never afraid to try new things." We just want you to know, we like change, so keep checking our website for service times and places. We have been known to worship in the park or meet outside too.
I have children and or teens:
We cherish your children at HCC. We have class rooms with age appropriate teaching and environments. C.R.O.S.S.WALK is the name of HCC's children’s ministry. Infants and toddlers through age three can immediately be taken to classrooms upon your arrival. The rooms are at the rear of the auditorium (Toddlers (ages 2-3) on the left, Nursery on the right).
Children ages 4-grade 5 stay with their parents during the first part of our worship service and are dismissed to their classes after communion. We will have attendants in the lobby to help you make sure your children go to the right classrooms. Some of the older children will be in classrooms in a separate building about a hundred feet from the main worship area. We maintain communication between buildings should there be a need to contact parents.
Each Sunday our C.R.O.S.S. Walk staff prepares to serve our children and to share the love of Jesus in creative and age appropriate ways, so that they can become fully devoted followers early in their life and can begin making a difference in their church and world.
Ignite is our Student Ministry. Teens stay in the service for our worship and communion time and then are dismissed to their classes with the Ignite Ministry Team. On second and fourth Sundays they have their own worship team that continues to build a worship lifestyle after the teens leave the adult service. Ignite will often discuss the same themes being taught in during the adult Sunday morning message time so families can discuss the implications of the biblical lesson together after the service.
Dress: Casual. You will see everything from an occasional suit, to shorts and flip flops in the warmer months. Generally you’ll see jeans to business casual. We sense God is more interested in the quality of our hearts for worship then the quality of our dress. Our key suggestion is modesty.
